Move-In Cleaning Checklist (Before You Unpack)
A quick move-in clean makes the whole place feel new. Do this before furniture and boxes block access.
Priority areas (do these first)
- Bathroom sanitised (toilet, sink, shower/bath)
- Kitchen worktops + sink + taps
- Floors vacuumed/mopped
- Door handles + light switches wiped
Kitchen
- Cupboards/drawers wiped inside where you’ll store food
- Fridge/freezer wiped inside
- Oven/hob surface cleaned
- Splashback and extractor hood wiped
- Bin cupboard cleaned
Bathroom
- Limescale check: taps, showerhead, screen
- Mirror polished
- Vanity drawers wiped
- Floor edges and corners cleaned
Bedrooms
- Wardrobes/drawers wiped inside
- Skirting boards wiped
- Window sills and frames wiped
- Vacuum edges and corners
Living areas / hallway
- Dust surfaces top to bottom
- Skirting boards and door frames wiped
- Floors vacuumed/mopped
- Windowsills wiped
Optional (nice upgrades)
- Inside windows cleaned
- Mattress/sofa vacuumed
- Carpet freshen (if needed)
